Nakey Time
Hey guys...guess what...I am a big cousin! It is so exciting, I've never been the older cousin before! My aunt Michelle and Uncle Jimmy had baby Carly Day Barillaro today at 12:08! Wow! I can't wait to meet her. She is the first girl cousin in 16 years. Taylor is the original, I haven't met her yet either, but I hear she is pretty awesome! That is definitely the highlight of the day. After my bath tonight, I was being really cute while mommy was dressing me. Daddy came in and took some pictures, in all the excitment, mommy forgot to put a diaper on under my jammies. It was so funny, I had to get all undressed and dressed again! Hope y'all have a great night!!! Tomorrow mommy said we are going to go and visit her old school! I can't wait to meet all of her old students, they were so nice to me last year! I'll let you know how it goes!

Handsome Oak

First 2 weeks
Hey everyone, Oak is doing awesome. He is healthy, growing, eating, sleeping, pooping, peeing, and just a really chill baby.
He doesn't cry very much at all, which is great.
We are however learning that when you change his diaper you should put up some sort of shield between his pecker and you, because the boy can pee really really far, like a fire hose.
We call this code yellow around the house.
We've only had 1 code brown, I'll spare you the details.

Oak Anderson Fischer

Krista had a very successful C-Section yesterday. We were scheduled for a 9:15, but got bumped back to 9:35. They took Krista back, gave her a spinal, then brought me back. We were back there chatting behind the curtain with the anesthesiologists, and before you knew it, the doctor said we should come have a look. As I looked over the curtain his arm was pulling out the first leg, then the next, then the whole body. It was amazing. My first reaction was "wow", then it was "man is that thing hairy!".
There he was, Oak Anderson Fischer. Weighing 7 Pounds 11 Ounces. Healthy color, healthy everything.
Immediately, he was living his name in the flesh. His name comes from one of our favorite verses, Isaiah 61:1-3:
1 The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me,
because the LORD has anointed me
to preach good news to the poor.
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim freedom for the captives
and release from darkness for the prisoners, [a]
2 to proclaim the year of the LORD's favor
and the day of vengeance of our God,
to comfort all who mourn,
3 and provide for those who grieve in Zion—
to bestow on them a crown of beauty
instead of ashes,
the oil of gladness
instead of mourning,
and a garment of praise
instead of a spirit of despair.
They will be called oaks of righteousness,
a planting of the LORD
for the display of his splendor.
That is one of our prayers for Oak, that people will be able to get a glimpse of God, by just looking at Oak and the way he lives his life. A life of love, and a life of joy, a life of compassion, and a life of grace.
